Subject: Zone Meeting & The Radfords
Hey there once again everyone! Another great week in the EBM. We are having a really great time in Nottingham, things are going really well. Hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving week, here are a few highlights:
On Tuesday we went to the mission home again for our monthly meeting. President and Sister Rasmussen talked a lot about the worldwide Christmas initiative. if you haven’t heard of it, you should check out Christmas.mormon.org. It’s fantastic, with an amazing video about Christ being the first gift of Christmas. It was a really great meeting and the spirit was super strong. I got to see some of my best mission friends as well, so that was awesome.
On Thursday we had zone meeting, which was fun and we all had lunch together afterward as a zone. I love the members of the zone right now, we all had fun together and some people brought stuff for Thanksgiving. We also went to the Radfords, who are a way cool family in the ward, who had us over and made a Thanksgiving dinner. they really enjoyed celebrating Thanksgiving for the first time in their lives and they liked the traditions. We also had a stake priesthood meeting that night, which was excellent. Our Stake President, President Gray, is one of the greatest men I know, so it was a privilege to hear from him.
We started teaching a student from India named Pradnya, who is one of the nicest people I have ever met. I have loved teaching her, and she has been loving everything we teach so much. It’s so cool to teach people who really don’t know that much about Christianity, and see how much they can get out of it.
So those were some of the good times this week. I have honestly just been so happy lately, and so grateful for this opportunity in my life. I love the gospel. I really, really do. Have a fantastic week!
Love, Elder DeBeikes
