Subject: HAPPY NEW YEAR! Ariel, Lemon, Leon & Jia Jia
Hello everyone and happy new year! This week was another fantastic one, I am loving life so much lately. Life in Nottingham is great, and I have been meeting the most amazing people and having the greatest experiences.
New years eve we had to be in at 6pm, so we were just making a bunch of calls. We called our investigator Lemon (I think I already told you how Chinese people pick their own English names, and sometimes they are pretty great) and asked how her prayers went about the Book of Mormon and everything that we have taught her. She told us that she got her answer, and she is ready to be baptized! It was such an amazing moment. We saw her the next day and talked a lot about it and she is just so solid and is the sweetest person on the planet. She will be getting baptized on the 18th of January, so we are very excited!
We have been teaching a girl from Trinidad And Tobago who is really cool, named Ariel. We have become good frineds with her and she is doing really well with everything that we are teaching her. She is definitely one of my favourite people I have taught.
Leon and Jia Jia should be getting back from China this week, so we are excited to start teaching them again and get things ready for their baptisms. I am loving life, and these next few weeks should be excellent.
Other than that, I can barely remember what else happened, everything goes by way too quickly. I just want you all to know that I am so happy and living the principles of the restored gospel is the greatest way to happiness. As we teach about God’s commandments for us, I just realize more and more how God truly knows best, and has laid out guidelines for us to live the most abundant life. As we follow His commandments and His counsel, we will achieve the most happiness, and will be able to see His promises fulfilled.
Well, I love all of you very much, thank you for all that you do for me. Have a great week!
Love, Elder DeBeikes
