Subject: Vida From Ghana – Loughborough University
Happy May everyone! This past week has been one of the best, honestly. We have met so many new people, and we have been teaching a lot as well. I really love teaching. Most of our finding is spent at Loughborough University, where there are usually a lot of students who are pretty interested. One of the main people who we are teaching is an African student named Vida, from Ghana. She is really cool, and she was able to come to church for the first time yesterday, and she absolutely loved it. She plans to be baptized soon, which we are very excited about. We also had two other people at church with us, which is the most i have had in a very long time.
I am continuing to love the Loughborough ward. We were able to do some good service for some of the members, and we had three days where members fed us, which is also the most i have had in a long time. I am so fortunate, and i am so thankful for all of the things that have been happening to me lately. I love my district as well, we all get along so well, and everyone is working so hard to move the work along.
One amazing experience also happened this past week. So we taught a Chinese student, who has never believed in God and who has never prayed before. We taught her about God and Jesus Christ, and we taught her how to pray and how she can get an answer. After the lesson, she said a prayer in chinese, and she said that before the prayer, she wasn’t really sure what to think, but that as she was praying she could feel such a strong power. it was amazing, and the spirit was so strong.
I am so thankful for experiences like that that strengthen my testimony of the work that we are doing, and i am truly fortunate to be a missionary. I love being here in England, especially Loughborough. I love the gospel, and every single day i gain a stronger appreciation for it in my life. it honestly makes me so ridiculously happy. i love you all so much, thank you for all of your love and support, and i hope you have a fantastic week!
Love, Elder DeBeikes
