Subject: Fillin’ The Baptismal Font Bucket By Bucket & “I Made A Cake”
Good afternoon! although for most of you, it will be around 5 in the morning…This past week has been great. I really love Loughborough a lot. The ward members here are so great, and they are so willing to help out with everything that we do. Elder Swinemar and I are having a really great time together still, and we are very similar. We have met some really cool people that i am excited to teach in the near future. Elder Harris and i were able to go on an exchange on thursday to friday. an exchange is basically when we are with another companion for 24 hours. it was so cool to be companions with him again, and we were able to catch up on all of the stuff that we have both done since we were companions six months ago. He is definitely my best friend on the mission, and i am so happy that i am able to serve around him again. i was also able to interview one of the sister missionaries’ investigators for baptism. Her name is Diton, she is 18, and she is from Nigeria. She is so cool, and she has such an awesome testimony. Her baptism was on Saturday, and it was really amazing. It was also kind of hectic, because the font wasn’t filling up fast enough, so while the people were giving talks and stuff in the chapel, the other elders and Elder Swinemar and i were filling up buckets of water in the kitchen and dumping them into the font. it all worked out in the end though, and the service was great. it was so amazing to see such faith in someone who hasn’t known about the gospel for very long, but she is continuing to embrace it and love every second of it. Church was really great as well, i am continuing to get to know the members, and i love all of them. I am very excited for my future in Loughborough, and i know that we will witness miracles in the next couple months together. Well, i love you all very much, and thank you for your continuous love and support. The gospel is true!
Love, Elder DeBeikes
