Hello everyone! This week was alright. We aren’t really teaching anyone at the moment. Everyone who we were teaching told us this past week that they don’t want to meet with us anymore, which is a huge bummer, but life goes on. We are still finding basically everyday. Life is good though, and I still love my mission. Missionary life is the best, and I love sharing the gospel. It is crazy how many different types of people we meet out on the streets or knocking on doors. There are so many different types of people out in the world, and they each have their own story. I really do love meeting so many people and hearing all about their life stories. One thing that is easily recognizable is how much the gospel can help EVERYONE, regardless of the situation they are in. I love the gospel, I really do.
General Conference was amazing, it’s funny how much better it is on the mission, and it’s weird because of the time difference how everything works out. on sunday we spent all day at the Swansea chapel, which is about a thirty minute bus ride from Llanelli. We watched three different sessions, and just hung out with all of the other missionaries in between the sessions and had food. it was a great day. All of the messages were so inspiring, we are so lucky to have modern prophets in our day, especially with all of the crazy stuff going on in the world. It was extremely refreshing to be able to sit down and be taught, instead of walking around all day and trying to teach people. I love being a member of this church so much.
Elder Smith and I probably only have about a week and a half left together, and we think that I am most likely leaving Llanelli soon. to be honest I hope I stay for one more transfer cycle, but we will see what happens. I think either way I will be happy. Life is good though, and this year is absolutely cruising by. I hope everyone of you is doing well, and that you all have a great week!
Love, Elder DeBeikes
