Subject: “Good Luck” Wales Bird
Hello hello! This past week has been a very excellent one. I was able to see some even more beautiful scenery, some of the prettiest views I have seen in my entire life. Honestly Wales is amazing. We were able to do a lot of service for some of the members this week, and the people that we went to live in some really amazing places. On Tuesday, we helped paint a room for one of the families in the ward. thjey live in Ammanford, and on the way back, they drove us through these gorgeous hills, where you could see part of the Brecon beacons, which are these stunning hill/mountain things. the view was awesome. We also did service on Saturday for a family that lives in a place called ferryside, which is right on the beach, and it was really cool and super sunny. I felt like I was home again.
So a funny story, we were talking to people in town centre trying to see if they would be interested in hearing the gospel. while we were talking to these three women, one of them just started laughing at us and then said they weren’t interested, so that was quite the bummer already. then, as we were walking away from them, a bird left a nice present right on my face…I just stood there in unbelief while Elder Smith couldn’t stop laughing. so I thought that was pretty unfortunate, and pretty funny to look back on now. I was talking to some members at church yesterday about it, and apparently that is actually extremely good luck in this country, who would have thought? so who knows, maybe something amazing is awaiting my future.
Lately, we have been trying very hard to find new people to teach, which can be extremely difficult. it has been tough, but I am determined that if we keep trying, then great things will happen. I have been loving the New Testament lately, it is so amazing to see all of the things that our Savior has done for everyone. As I try to emulate the Savior, i try to see things in the way that He would. it helps so much, in any situation. I love Jesus Christ, and i know that He really did die for all of us. i am so grateful for His ultimate sacrifice, and i know that it is something thaqt is real, and that we can take advantage of every single day of our lives. That is why i am here, to give that opportunity to others who need Him in their lives, because we all need Him. Thank you all so much for your love and support, and i hope you all have a great week!
Love, Elder DeBeikes
