Subject: Luke of Romania baptized!
HELLO EVERYONE! this week will go down in history as one of the greatest weeks of my mission. So, i don’t know if you remember Luke, the 19 year old Romanian, but…he got baptized on Saturday!!!!! man, i am so happy. unfortunately, i was not able to be there, because coventry is 4 and a half hours away from Llanelli, and the maximum amount of time we are allowed to travel for a baptism is one hour. It was honestly so hard not to be there, especially because I was the one who was supposed to baptize him, but he ended up going to Romania for the holidays, so we had to delay it until he got back. Although it was so difficult not to be there, i am so happy. Honestly, for a while i felt like i was doing something wrong, and it was kind of a struggle. knowing that i helped someone become truly converted to Christ and gain such a strong testimony of the Book of Mormon makes every tough time i have had so unbelievably worth it. Luke is so awesome, and we will definitely be great friends for the rest of our lives. I will send a picture of his baptism next week. meanwhile, back in Llanelli, things have been going kind of slow. it is tough because it is absolutely pouring rain almost 24/7, and not a lot of people want to talk to you when they want to get out of the rain, and tracting isn’t always the most successful. we have a few investigators right now that are pretty solid though, and i have grown very close to some of the ward members. i am continuing to learn more and more everyday, and i love the gospel so much. i am very thankful to be a missionary, and i am loving the rain!
