okay, so like i predicted, i moved! my new area is called Llanelli. it is in Wales! by the way, you don’t say llanelli at all how you think you would. you are just going to have to look up a video of how to say it or something, because there is no way i can explain it over email. it is a pretty cool place though. i miss coventry, and i really miss Elder Harris, but Llanelli is good. there are only about 70 active members, but they are great. i received a warm welcome yesterday at church. i love the welsh accent, it is almost a mix of scottish and english, very cool. oh yeah, and it rains alllllll the time, and not just a light rain either. but that’s alright, i will just have to get used to it.

my new companion is Elder Thurgood, from Idaho. he has been out six weeks less than me, so it was a little stressful knowing that i would be companions with a younger missionary, but he pretty much knows what he is doing, so its alright. so Llanelli is about a 4 hour coach from the mission home, so i had a fun road trip over here on wednesday. then we had our Christmas Conference in Birmingham on Friday, so we had to get up at 4:30 and take the trip all over again, then back the same night. so it has been kind of a crazy week, and i am finally getting settled in. but the Christmas Conference was absolutely amazing. every single missionary in the mission met in the same chapel, and President and Sister Rasmussen gave a devotional, then we all had lunch, then there was a musical performance, and then we went out to the street and sang Christmas Carols. it was so amazing seeing almost 300 missionaries all in the same chapel, and knowing that we are all in the same mission. it was crazy how many people i hadn’t even seen before then. but it was a great experience.
NEW address is:  1 Goring Road, Flat 2, Llanelli SA15 3HF, Wales, UK
It is strange being so far away from the mission home, i think i am the second furthest away, but it’s okay. it is a lot harder to get people interested here than in Coventry, but i know that we will have success here. i am excited for my future here in Llanelli.
i was laughing so hard at the picture of james and daniel facetiming. how hilarious. i am so excited to skype you guys as well. i am planning on doing it at either 5 or 6 my time, so it would be either 9 or 10 am your time. it will probably be for about an hour and a hald or so, but i am not sure. it says in the white handbook to keep it to about 40 minutes.

i like llanelli though, its a good place, and i love the accent. i always wanted to serve in wales at least once in my mission, so i am glad i am here. well, i will let you guys know for sure exactly what time i will skype you next week, and we can talk more then. i love you and miss you so much. oh, and i got the package! i opened it, but i havent opened the presents yet, i will wait till christmas. i love you guys. have a great week, talk to you soon!I will end with my testimony of this gospel. Each week i see more and more how happy it can make us. as i study more and more about it, i can feel the spirit so strongly, and i just know that it is true. the Book of Mormon is so amazing. The spirit it brings is absolutely incredible, and everytime i read it, i see how much it truly testifies of Christ. I know that Jesus Christ is our savior, and that as we come closer to Him, we will be happier than with anything else. I love you all so much. thank you for all of your wonderful love and support. have a fantastic week!

Love, Elder DeBeikes
