Subject: HELLO!

Wow! another week has gone by! each week goes by faster than the last, its the weirdest thing ever, i do not understand time at all, but im just going with it. that is so awesome to hear about the two football games. newbury deserved losing, especially after our last game last season. and thats so crazy about byu! i am so excited to play there. i miss football so much, i’m getting tired of all this “football” here, but its pretty fun as well i guess. that’s cool about steven as well, that sounds like it would be a very hard mission. this week has been pretty good, and each week goes by faster than the last, its honestly crazy, time is the strangest thing. it has been another week of trying to find people to talk to. we only had two lessons last week, but i am trying to stay positive. although it can be challenging at times, i am loving what i am doing, i really am. not really a lot has happened this past week, and im really not even sure what to say. the weather is getting colder, and it is starting to rain more, which is pretty exciting. i am just trying to work hard and actually find people that want to lean about the gospel. i am continuing to learn more and more about the gospel, and it makes me so happy to have it in my life. it makes me sad when i see people that are very sad or depressed, and they dont want to hear anything from us, when i know that it can help them out so much in their life. yesterday the bishop spoke in sacrament meeting about how there are 10 misisonaries in the ward, and that the members need to use us. they need to get to know us, to trust us, and help us out in our misisonary work. it was really cool. after church the dinner list was almost full, so it was great! last friday we went to the mission home for a meeting for all of the trainers and new misionaries. president rasmussen told us really cool stories from his mission, and gave us really good advice, it was really inspiring, and it made me want to work really hard to be the best missionary that i can be. sorry that this isnt as long as usual, but i just want to end by saying that i love the book of mormon, i love the message inside of it, and i know that whoever reads it with a sincere heart and faith in Christ, will find everlasting peace and comfort in their life. i am so happy to be a missionary, and i am so thankful for the gospel in my life. i love you all and miss you very much!

Love, Elder DeBeikes
